Welcome!

Sekava ry is an event organising queer club for all students of Tampere universities community. We aim to drive the interests of queer students and create a safe space for all its members as well as organise fun events.

Our events can be participated in on a low threshold, and what’s even better, the membership is completely free! As an association, we strive to be as accessible as possible and try to organise all events both in Finnish and English. Some of our past events include autumn/spring meetups, (queer) cursing nights, board game nights as well as themed parties at Nightclub Mixei.

Sekava had its beginnings as a club in 1999 with the help of volunteers. The club was able to be registered as an official association in 2022 and has since exponentially grown into a club with hundreds of members.
